About Mid-Riffs

Welcome to Mid-Riffs.com, a new blog committed to providing commentary about Arkansas public policy, as well as analysis of public policy in surrounding states and at the national level.  This blog is a place where a variety of contributors will offer everything from serious news and public policy critiques to not-so-serious commentary about life in the region. We have a lot of interest and experience dealing with education policy, and much of our content will reflect this fact. That said, no topic is off limits.

While those of us that contribute here won’t always agree, we are bound by a shared appreciation for good arguments, logical consistency, geeky sarcasm, and all things good. We are more concerned with truth than ideology.

We are against all things bad (e.g., Texas) and dishonesty.

All views expressed here are our own and not those of our employer. It should also be noted that we do not make a dime writing this blog. We just like being involved in the debate. The comments section is not moderated, so the views expressed there are not those of anyone other than the commenter.  The existence of those comments does not imply endorsement.  If people act like total jerks or use foul language, we reserve the right to remove their comments and block them from commenting in the future.
